Zone de Texte: Conclusions & Discussion Both Pr and Pk are present in natural environments. In vitro tests were useful indicators. New hosts are still being discovered. Pr has a much wider host range and is more aggressive in laboratory trials but Pk appears to have a higher degree of field fitness and is very aggressive in the field. Pr sporulates profusely on some of the highly susceptible hosts, but many other factors affect infection potential and laboratory research and field research need to be corroborated to be able to make predictions.
