Present status: There are 24 more localities mostly in western and middle part of Slovakia, where it occurs.     General comments: The fungus has been distributed nearly in all Slovak localities of sweet chestnut within the last 30 years. The occurrence of Cryphonectria parasitica in Slovakia was published only after the political changes in1989.
