Zone de Texte: One of the most important measures: listing the particularly dangerous harmful organisms whose introduction into the Community must be prohibited. Bans on the introduction of certain plants and plant products from countries in which listed organisms occur, if their presence cannot be effectively checked. Differences in ecological conditions and in the distribution of certain harmful organisms are taken into account by defining ‘protected zones’ exposed to particular plant health risks: special protection under conditions compatible with the internal market.
