Second Meeting of the Interim Standards Committee

The autumn meeting of this Committee considers the comments from ICPM members on draft standards which were approved at the spring meeting and sent out for consultation. The meeting produced adjusted texts on: amendments to the Glossary (ISPM no. 5), supplement to the Glossary on official control, notification on non-compliance and emergency actions, phytosanitary certificates, and PRA for quarantine pests. These five finalized proposals were put forward to the ICPM. Comments on the draft standards for regulated pest lists proved too complicated to analyse and allow for, so this item was held over. On behalf of EPPO, Dr I.M. Smith took part; other participants from the region were M.M. Vereecke (EU) and M. Rahel (MA).
