ICPM Working Group on reporting obligations

The revision of the IPPC has modified the obligations of its contracting parties to report: information on pests to other countries, to the IPPC Secretariat and to RPPOs. The Working Group reviewed the obligations and proposed, in a draft standard on pest reporting, a practical interpretation of the Convention reporting obligations, concentrating on the need for reporting immediate or potential danger arising from the occurrence, outbreak or spread of pests. The meeting was co-hosted by EPPO and the Slovenian NPPO and Ms Katarina Groznik and her colleagues were cordially thanked for their hospitality. Besides strolling in the charming streets and riverside of Ljubljana, participants visited Bled and were rowed on its famous lake, in an idyllic setting below the mountains.
